Biblical Counseling
Thanks for your interest in Biblical Counseling,
Below you will find the four files included in our counseling information packet. Before you fill these out, I would like you to know what kind of approach to counseling we take at Nauset Baptist Church.
All the counseling we do is intentionally biblical. What does that mean? It means that we believe God has “given us everything we need for life and godliness” (2 Peter 1:3). It is our desire to please God with our thoughts, attitudes and our actions and that all of these things must be tested by what the Bible teaches. If you come for counseling we will search the scriptures together to find out what God requires from you and even more importantly, what He has done to enable you to fulfill this requirement.
Definition of Biblical Counseling
1. To discern what ways God would have us change our thinking and our behavior.
2. To use God’s Word/Gospel to teach us and enable us to change our thinking and behavior.
3. To do this for the glory of God and for the benefit of you, the counselee.
Another aspect of our counseling ministry is that we always counsel with at least two counselors.
Each person who comes for counseling must print, read and sign the Limited Confidentiality form and bring it to the first session, fill out a Personal Data Inventory form, a Testimony Worksheet and the Problem Worksheet. (you may email these to richard,masciantonio1959@gmail.com or send to Pastor Rick Masciantonio, P.O. Box 1335, North Eastham, MA 02651)
When we have received your information you will be contacted to line up our first meeting.
